DC Event Photos can capture photos of your event, and print these images on location. We employ the latest in digital photography and printing techniques to provide first class enlargements -- ready before your event ends.
Why in the world do you need such a service?
1. Get hard copies of prints into the hands of important press members.
2. Get prints directly to participants in your group's activities. Sometimes it is difficult to get prints to participants after the event's conclusion -- for example, if that person lives in Sri Lanka. Often, it is more cost effective to do the printing on site.
3. Use these images as a gift or memento of participation in your event.
4. Give high resolution discs and contact sheets to press members who may not have computer access for download prior to deadline.
Q. Who pays for the prints?
A. Typically, the sponsoring group pays for the prints provided -- I.E., the person who hires us. In some cases, however, participants may be charged directly. In this case, please notify us so we can have appropriate resources available. There may also be slightly higher costs per print.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Prints are usually at our standard rates, the only difference is they are produced on site rather than after the event. We don't charge extra, but do require a minimum print commitment to provide this service.
Q. I have a very large group, how many prints can you produce and how quickly?
A. It averages about a minute to produce our top quality prints. So, allowing for time to actually TAKE the photos, you can estimate the time required to produce images. Disc burning and contact sheets take a bit longer. Estimate 100 4x6 prints per 2 hour period. (This estimate is based on a controlled lighting environment -- for example, where our portable studio is utilized.)
